On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, the Simi Valley Police Departments Special Operations Unit conducted a search warrant at multiple locations in the County of Los Angeles. This was a result of an investigation into a narcotics dealer who was selling illicit drugs to, and servicing the Eastern Ventura County and Los Angeles areas. During the execution of the search warrant, over 2500 pills of ecstasy, ¼ pound of cocaine, “magic mushrooms”, steroids, over $4800 in suspected drug proceeds, a Kevlar vest and a loaded handgun were recovered. The suspect, Darryl Arthur Ponce (25 yrs.) was arrested at the scene and subsequently booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for 11378 H&S-possession of ecstasy for sale and 11379 H&S-sales of ecstasy.
