The City of El Segundo invites you to take part in a conversation to create solutions for homelessness in our community. We are conducting a Community Meeting on April 25, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at El Segundo City Council Chambers (350 Main Street, El Segundo, CA 90245).

Throughout our region, homelessness has become a significant challenge. In Los Angeles County, there are nearly 60,000 homeless on any given night. El Segundo’s homeless neighbors are a relatively small group, yet their access to services and housing is still an issue that deserves attention.

In November 2017, the Los Angeles County Homelessness Initiative established funding to support planning activities made by cities in the Los Angeles Continuum of Care. El Segundo received one of these grants and is currently collecting input from the residential and business community on the challenge of combating and preventing homelessness within our area. The City’s Homeless Plan will serve as a guide for addressing this issue locally and regionally.

Please join us in tackling this multifaceted issue. We think everyone can agree that homelessness is an issue that needs to be addressed.
