2 Injured in Crash


Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on 4/13/18 at 1730 his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash that occurred on Gumwood rd near Bertrand St in Milton Township, Cass County Michigan. 55 yr old, Niles resident, Gregory Ferrier, was south bound when a vehicle driven by 72 yr old, Niles resident, Jean Stilwell-McCarty, turned in front of him. The collision caused Mr. Ferrier vehicle to travel off the road and into a tree. Both parties were taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor and seat belts were used. This case remains under investigation.
