Suspect arrested in Rosamond homicide

On April 14, 2018, at approximately 1715 hours, Deputies from the Rosamond Substation were dispatched to a suspicious circumstances investigation at a residence in the 2000 block of Alexander Avenue in Rosamond.  Deputies arrived on scene and located a deceased subject with trauma to the body inside the residence. 
 
Deputies also located a subject who resides at the residence in a bedroom who had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest.  The subject was identified as Jaime Brisenoperez (32 years of age).  The Sheriff’s Office Robbery/Homicide Unit responded and took over the investigation.
 
Brisenoperez was transported to Sheriff’s headquarters in Bakersfield where he was interviewed by detectives. Brisenoperez was subsequently arrested on the charge of homicide and he was booked at the Central Receiving Facility.

The investigation is ongoing and the identity of the victim will be withheld pending notification by the Coroner’s Office.
