Detective Billie Brown of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Danny Ray Moore Jr., 25, of Gastonia, with breaking and entering, larceny, possession of stolen goods and injury to personal property.
On April 22, 2017, it was reported that someone broke into West Court #4, on N.C. 226 South in Nebo, and stole 40 cartons of cigarettes valued at $1,800.
The suspect cut himself during the break-in and left blood at the scene. Brown said she was able to link Moore to the crime through his DNA.
