The City of Seymour has allowed the Snow Emergency to expire. However, due to the large snowbanks in the parking lanes downtown street parking is discouraged.

There are only two lanes of travel open and parking in front of downtown business is creating a hazard in most places. Most downtown businesses have plowed parking areas in the rear, and the municipal parking lot behind Trophy Hunter Supply is open. Seymour Public Works crews will be working to open up the parking lanes in the overnight hours. If parking your vehicle blocks the primary lanes of travel please look for alternative parking.

Additionally, an awning has collapsed in the 200 block of South Main Street on the east side of the road. The area is unsafe and will be marked "SIDEWALK CLOSED."
