During the early morning hours of April 18, 2018, members of the Anderson Police Department's Problem Oriented Policing Unit and Patrol Division teamed up to conduct an illegal encampment sweep.

APD had received reports of the illegal encampments and illegal dumping at multiple locations throughout the city, both on private property and public property.

During the operation approximately fifteen contacts were made resulting in eight citations being issued for illegal camping.

Two wanted subjects were located and arrested as well.

Andrew Eugene Roberts, age 32, of Chico, was arrested on multiple felony warrants out of Butte County for identity theft and forgery. Roberts attempted to provide officers with a false name, however his attempt was unsuccessful.

Eileen Marie Webb, age 59, of Redding, was arrested on a domestic violence warrant out of Siskiyou County. Webb also attempted to provide officers with a false name, however her attempts also proved unsuccessful.

Both Roberts and Webb were booked into the Shasta County Jail.
