Wednesday, April 18, 2018, the excavation project on Whitman Boulevard continues and the contractor is approaching 411 Whitman Boulevard today. The 300 block of Whitman Boulevard that is between Stafford and Canterbury is blocked by equipment and material and is closed to all vehicles except the residents that live there.
The 100 block of Whitman Boulevard between Gulf and Canterbury Roads is closed for street restoration work. One lane is open for both directions of travel for the local residents that live there and EMS.
Emergency response vehicles should access the 300 block of Whitman Boulevard via Canterbury Road. Buses cannot access the 300 Block at this time, as soon as the contractor can adequately clear the intersection of Whitman and Stafford Drive, it will be reopened to buses and the residents that live there. By using either end of Canterbury Road, emergency vehicles and school buses now have full access to the 200 block of Whitman Boulevard and Belmar Court.
Whitman Boulevard remains closed to through traffic. Windsor School should be accessed from Abbe Road to Stafford Drive to Windsor Drive.
