Search Warrant Service/Arrest

On Thursday April 12, 2018, at approximately 7:45 AM Turlock Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit served a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Minaret Avenue. The warrant was obtained as a result of an investigation into suspected drug sales taking place at the residence. During a search of the home, investigators located a small amount of narcotics, an illegal assault rifle, an illegal short barrel shotgun, and a .25 caliber pistol inside a room belonging to 34 year old Albert Glancy. In addition to these items, evidence of drug sales was located within the room. Mr. Glancy, a previously convicted felon, was not located at the residence during the service of the warrant.

On Monday, April 16, 2018, detectives assigned to the Special Investigations Unit discovered that Mr. Glancy was staying at a motel in the 700 block of Twentieth Century Boulevard. Mr. Glancy was arrested without incident at this location. During a search of his motel room, detectives located an additional loaded firearm, 90 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and 3 grams of suspected heroin. Mr. Glancy was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of an assault rifle, possession of a short barrel shotgun, and possession of narcotics for sale.

“The Special Investigations Unit was formed to investigate some of the most serious criminal offenses that affect our community, including drug dealers, gang members, and other violent offenders. Their hard work and dedication has resulted in the arrest of a suspected drug dealer and convicted felon who was peddling narcotics while armed with some very dangerous weapons. Their continued work has made for a safer Turlock,” said Turlock Police Chief Ninus Amirfar.
