50 year old Los Osos resident arrested for Attempted Kidnapping from SLO Target

SUSPECT: Rosemary Osorioloaiza, 50-year-old resident of Los Osos
On April 18, 2018 in the evening hours, Rosmary Osorioloaiza responded to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s sub-station in Los Osos to speak with a deputy regarding the incident that occurred at the Target store in San Luis Obispo earlier in the day. Deputies notified the San Luis Obispo Police Department due to the incident occurring in our jurisdiction. A San Luis Obispo Police Officer Contacted Osorioloaiza by phone and she agreed to meet with him at SLO PD.
The investigation revealed evidence to believe Osorioloaiza attempted to kidnap a three-year old boy from inside Target. When Osorioloaiza was confronted by the boy’s parent she released the boy’s hand and left the store without further incident. Osorioloaiza was arrested at the San Luis Obispo Police Department and was later booked into County Jail. Her bail was set at $50,000.
On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, officers responded to the report of an attempted kidnapping and wanted to get video footage out to identify the suspect. If anyone has information regarding this crime or the identity of this suspect, please call the watch commander at (805) 781-7313.
