BWS Re-Opening Komo Mai Dr. Patch for Main Repair
Apr. 19, 4:00 p.m.: The Board of Water Supply (BWS) is following up on reports of a leak from the temporary patch at the Komo Mai Dr. hair-pin turn at the bottom of Pacific Palisades in Pearl City. The patch is from a main repair last week. BWS is going to re-open the patch to repair a possible leak that may have occurred since then.
Crews are scheduled to arrive at the site at about 4:00 p.m., today, and will set up signage and cones in preparation for the work.
Two lanes will remain open at the site in a modified traffic pattern. Motorists are asked to please slow down and proceed carefully through the area. Special duty police officers will be at the scene to facilitate traffic flow and safety.
Water service to Pacific Palisades residents should remain available for the duration of the work. Customers in the Momilani subdivision, including Pearl City High School and Momilani Elementary School, may experience lower-than-normal water pressure during repair work. However, residents in these areas are asked to conserve water. Use what you need for cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene, but postpone other non-essential water use.
The BWS appreciates your patience.
Updates will be sent out periodically for the duration of the work.
