On Saturday, 04-21-18, at about 12:30 pm, Sebastopol Police received 9-1-1 calls reporting a stabbing in a parking lot on Bodega Avenue, near West Hills Circle. When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Sebastopol resident Cory Alan Vaughn had suffered significant stab wounds. An associate of the man was performing CPR. Medics arrived but were not able to resuscitate the man, who died at the scene.
Several witnesses described a fight in the parking lot that followed a disturbance at a nearby house party. According to witnesses, 18-year-old Anthony William Ibach of Sebastopol fought with the victim in the lot and stabbed him during the altercation.
Ibach fled the scene in a burgundy BMW sedan with a sun roof. Ibach is a white male adult with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 6’2” tall and weighs about 185 pounds. He should be considered still armed and dangerous.
