1st Annual Earth Day Celebration Today
Mayor James E. Lynch wants to let everyone know about the First Annual Earth Day Celebration that is about to start on Farnsworth Avenue. The event will run from 10am - 2pm between Crosswicks Street and Church Street. Below is a few things that will be occurring.
Storm Drain Painting - Scavenger Hunt - Performers/Entertainers - Face Painting - Prizes - Workshops - Education - Fire Trucks - Photos with the Grand Litter Marshal
Some of the Workshops that will be:
Bottle Bird Feeder:
Supplies included (2 wooden spoons)
Supplies needed (1 Empty Clean plastic water/soda bottle)
Half Gallon Planters:
Supplies included: ( Composted Soil & Seeds)
Supplies needed: (1 Empty clean 1/2 Gallon Mile or Juice container )
Bottle Top Flowers:
Supplies included: ( glue & wooded dowels)
Supplies needed: (Clean bottle caps)
Soda Bottle Watering "Cans":
Supplies included: ( Stickers & Paint)
Supplies needed: (1 Empty, clean, 1 gallon milk or juice container)
Flower Pot Coloring:
Supplies included: ( pots & crayons)
Supplies needed: (NONE!)
Chalk Garden:
Supplies included: (Chalk)
Supplies needed: (NONE!)
