DETAILS:  On Sunday April 22, 2018 at 2237 Hours, patrol officers responded South Lane for a Motor Vehicle Collision involving one vehicle, a 2000 Silver Ford Mustang.  The vehicle was determined to have been traveling northbound on South Lane when the 21 year old operator lost control of the Mustang.  The vehicle went off of the roadway (to the right), striking a guardrail before overturning.  After overturning, the Mustang remained in its final resting place on top of a fence.  The 21 year old driver and 20 year old passenger were ejected from the vehicle while it was overturning.  The passenger was found lying in the northbound lane of South Lane while the driver was found lying in a grassy field next to the fencing.  Both occupants were transported to the Capital Health Regional Medical Center by West Windsor Twp. Emergency Services.  The conditions of both occupants were considered non-life threatening.

Several charges are pending including Failure to Wear a Seatbelt for both the driver & passenger in addition to the driver being a Suspended Operator.    The collision led to an approximately (2) Hour long closure of South Lane between Village Road and Windsor Road.  The investigation is being led by the WWPD Traffic Bureau under Sgt. Bal and the lead investigator, Ptl. Brown.  If there are any witnesses to this collision please contact Ptl. Brown at [email protected] or at (609) 799-1222.
