Mark Campbell of Running Springs is arrested for felon in possession of a firearm & felon is possession of ammunition

INCIDENT: Felon in Possession of a Firearm/Felon in Possession of Ammunition

LOCATION: 2400 Block Spring Drive, Running Springs

SUSPECT(S): Mark Campbell, age 52 a resident of Running Springs

SUMMARY:
On April 25, 2018, at approximately 11:07 pm, deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station conducted a probation compliance check at Mark Campbell's registered probation address in the community of Running Springs. During a search of Campbell's residence, deputies located 2 Ruger .357 revolvers, a 9mm Para handgun, and approximately 200 rounds of ammunition. Campbell is currently on felony probation for violation of PC 243(D), Battery with Serious Bodily Injury. Due to Campbell's felony conviction, he is prohibited from owning firearms and ammunition.

Campbell was arrested for violation of PC 29800(a)(1) Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 30305(a)(1), Felon in Possession of Ammunition and PC 1203.2, Violation of Probation. Campbell was booked in the Central Detention Center and is currently being held without bail.

The case will be submitted to the San Bernardino County District Attorney's office for review.
