Attention Rutgers Community:
The Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD) is investigating a robbery which was reported to have occurred on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at approximately 2:15 AM at the intersection of French and Plum Streets in the City of New Brunswick.
In this incident the victim, who is not affiliated with Rutgers University, reported that he was walking in the area of French and Plum Streets when he passed a group of males who struck him and knocked him to the ground before fleeing the area in multiple directions with his personal property. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment. No weapons were used in this incident.
Descriptions of the perpetrators are limited at this time.
The Rutgers Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, to contact the Rutgers Police Department Detective Bureau at 848-932-8025.
