Attention Rutgers Community:
The New Brunswick Police Department is investigating two robberies which were reported to have occurred on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at approximately 3:45 AM on Easton Avenue between Bristol and Wyckoff Streets in the City of New Brunswick.
In the first incident the victim, who is affiliated, reported that while walking in the area he was approached by two males who demanded items of value before striking him and taking his personal property. In the second incident the victim, who is not affiliated, stated that he was approached while walking home by two males who struck him before taking his personal property and fleeing in a nearby vehicle. Both victims sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention. No weapons were used in either incident.
Descriptions of the perpetrators are limited at this time.
The New Brunswick Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, to contact the New Brunswick Police Department Detective Bureau at 732-745-5217.
