Beginning Sunday, May 6, 2018 through Friday, May 11, 2018, CSX Transportation will be conducting work on their tracks throughout Ashland. This work will occur during night time and conclude by 5:00 a.m. each day.

This work will not include roadway crossings and traffic should not be affected except briefly while equipment on the tracks is moved across intersections.

During the work period, the pedestrian crossing platforms across the railroad tracks will be removed. The crossing platforms will be removed before work begins during the week of April 30 through May 4. Pedestrians wishing to cross the tracks must proceed to and cross at open roadway crossings.

Residents are urged to not park along Railroad Avenue and Center Street parallel to the tracks due to the possibility of debris from the work zone striking parked vehicles. Residents may also experience some noise related to the work during the overnight hours.
