5-1-18 Update:
On 04/17/2018 The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports of breaking and entering to motor vehicles as well as a stolen motor vehicle from the Beams Mills Road area of Ellenboro.
On 04/17/2018 Lenior Police Department received a 911 call at an apartment complex in Lenior of a subject in the parking lot with a gun. Once officers with the Lenior Police Department arrived, they located the 2012 Nissan Altima that had been reported stolen out of Rutherford County. After further investigation Lenior Police Department located Preston Green in the area and he was taken into custody for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, misuse of 911 systems, and filing a false report to a police station.
As the investigation continued by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, detectives located a Honda four wheeler in a wooded area off of Beams Mill Road that Preston Green had been in possession of. It was determined the four wheeler had been stolen out of Caldwell County and had been left in the wooded area by Preston Green the night of the vehicle theft and the breaking and entering to motor vehicles in the area of Beams Mill Road in Ellenboro.
The investigation lead Rutherford County Detectives to Greene’s grandparent’s home in Ellenboro, where Green had been staying for a short time. Detectives executed a search warrant at this location and located property belonging to victims who had reported their vehicles being broken into on Beams Mill Road. Investigators also located a Hudson Police Department jacket and Bullet Proof Vest Carrier that had been stolen out of a Hudson Police Department patrol vehicle in Hudson North Carolina.
Preston Green is currently in custody at the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $30,000.00 bond for charges from Lenior Police Department.
Warrants have been secured on Preston Green by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division for (1) count Larceny of Motor Vehicle, (7) counts Break or Enter Motor Vehicle, (4) counts of Larceny, and (2) counts Felony Possession of Stolen Goods.
As the investigation continues, additional charges will be forth coming by Hudson Police Department as well as the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.

UPDATE.... the 2012 White in Color 2 door Nissan Altima which was reported stolen has been located by the Lenior Police Department.

Rutherford County Sheriff’s Officers are investigating the breaking/entering of at least (6) vehicles in the Beams Mill Road area of Ellenboro which were broken into on last night (4-16-18).
Some of the items taken were a Garmin GPS, Ray-ban Sunglasses and other miscellaneous items.
A 2012 White in Color 2 door Nissan Altima, bearing N.C. license plate EDA-4369 was stolen from one of the residences.
