Burn Permits are required for yard debris burning. Stop by any fire station to get a free permit.
This time of year, burning is an acceptable way to dispose of yard debris. Once fire danger increases there will be a "burn ban" in place. Burning can only be done on permissive burn days by calling (530) 582-1027
Here are some rules:
1. Only natural vegetative material such as pine needles and tree trimmings.
2. NO household garbage.
3. Don't burn on windy days
4. You must have a signed burn permit
5. If you don't feel its safe to burn, don't burn.
6. Only one 4' x 4' pile at a time, with a person in attendance and water available.
Call 911 for any escape. Remember, you are liable for a fire that escapes.
