2018 Waking Windows Festival Parking & Road Closures Announcement

The City of Winooski invites you to join us for the 2018 Waking Windows Festival, now in its 8th year of celebration! We welcome our friends, neighbors, and visitors to enjoy this Winooski tradition all weekend from 5/4/18 – 5/6/18 (visit wakingwindows.com for more information).

A combination of road closures and heavy pedestrian traffic will affect travel in the Downtown Winooski area between Friday, 5/4/18 and Sunday, 5/6/18. Winooski Falls Way will be closed on the afternoon of Friday, May 4th and will re-open on the evening of Sunday, May 6th. We ask that motorists, pedestrians, and participants use extreme caution while traveling in Winooski during the festival.

Volunteer crossing guards provided by Waking Windows staff will be available to assist participants in and out of Rotary Park at the crosswalks located at the north and south entrances. We ask that participants only use these crosswalks entering and exiting Rotary Park.

GMT bus routes that travel through Winooski will be detoured – please visit ridegmt.com for an updated route schedule.

The City of Winooski will be offering free parking in the Winooski Parking Garage (located on Cascade Way) for the entire Waking Windows festival (5 PM Friday, May 4th – 7 AM Monday, May 7th). On-street parking is not free and will be available by paid kiosk only. Visit winooskivt.org/parking for more information on paid parking in Winooski.
