Milpitas, Calif. — On Friday, May 4, 2018, the City was alerted to a railroad track issue at the crossing on Yosemite Drive, between S. Milpitas Blvd and S. Hillview Drive. City staff met with Union Pacific Railroad and were informed that immediate repairs are necessary to ensure safety of the roadway.
Yosemite Dr. will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic to perform repairs to the railroad crossing. In order to ensure public safety while repairs are being made, the UPRR and the City will need to detour all vehicle traffic from Yosemite Dr. to Ames Ave and Sinclair Frontage Rd.
The road closure and detour will begin on Tuesday May 8, 2018 at 7:00 AM and last through Monday May 14, 2018 at 5:00 PM.
