SUBJECT: Deceased Unidentified Male With Suspected Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound / Case Number 18-0332

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On May 8, 2018 at approximately 7:40 AM, the Angels Camp Police Department received a report of an unresponsive male with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound laying in the Altaville Cemetery District's Catholic Cemetery, off of Stockton Road.
Officers arrived and found that the male was deceased. The Calaveras County Coroner's Office took custody of the body. The identity of the male and official cause of death are pending autopsy results.
