Wednesday, May 8th, 2018 the East Side Sewer Relief Project on Whitman Boulevard has multiple closures and work zones from Gulf Road to 426 Whitman Boulevard. The main excavation is at 426 Whitman Boulevard which is approximately 500 feet east of Stafford Drive. Addresses above 426 Whitman need to access from Abbe Road.
Crews are working in the 200 and 300 block sections of Whitman Boulevard in preparation for street restoration which has begun at the Whitman & Canterbury intersection and the crews are moving south towards Belmar Court. There is no traffic pass through at 207 Whitman due to restoration work and no traffic pass through at 305 Whitman with crews installing sanitary and storm connections. All traffic between 207 & 305 Whitman and Belmar need to use the 100 block of Canterbury to access Windsor and then Stafford to Abbe Road.
Restoration continues in the 100 block of Whitman Boulevard with crews installing the concrete aprons. Traffic is being maintained in both directions, but expect delays due to heavy equipment and trucks in the roadway.
