Good Wednesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 5/8/18.

-6000 blk Hwy 114, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. A deputy was dispatched to the area to assist in looking for a subject that fled officers earlier in the day. The area was searched and the individual was not located.

-1800 blk Avenue I, Levelland: Civil Issue. Deputies met with a complainant regarding a civil issue. Several papers were served and civil remedies were provided.

-Avenue T at 16th St, Levelland: Assist Other Agency. A deputy was dispatched to the area to locate information for Castro County Sheriff’s Office related to a vehicle. Information was relayed to Castro County.

-FM 168 at FM 1294, Smyer: Check Welfare. A deputy responded to a report of two individuals walking in the area. The individuals were later transported to a residence in Levelland.

-1310 Avenue H, Levelland: Fraud. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a fraud report after someone used identifying information in another area. A report was competed for Fraudulent Use Identifying Information and the matter is under investigation.

-400 blk E. 9th St, Anton: Suspicious Activity. A deputy was dispatched to the area related to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was reported as a white pickup truck with a trailer. The caller advised the driver was suspected in a theft the previous day in the same area. The area was checked and one individual was identified. No offenses were reported at that time and the individual was released.

-100 blk Barton Ln, Opdyke West: Assist EMS. A deputy responded to the area to assist EMS with an individual complaining of chest pain and walking along the highway. The individual later refused medical care and requested to be transported to Lubbock.

-FM 3261 at Bear Rd, Levelland: Traffic Hazard. A deputy was notified of debris in the roadway near the intersection. The debris was removed.

-100 blk Mouzon Ln, Levelland: Theft. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a theft of a compressor. Information was collected for a report, and the incident is under investigation.

-Avenue E at 9th St, Levelland: Warrant Service. Deputies located an individual with an active felony warrant. The individual was taken into custody and transported to the detention center without incident.

-6700 blk FM 41, Ropesville: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the area. The complainant reported he was threatened by another party. Information was taken for a report for the threats, and additional remedies were advised related to a civil matter.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.
