INCIDENT: Penal Code 459 - Residential Burglary

LOCATION: 2600 Block of North Holly Drive, San Antonio Heights

SUSPECT(S): Two unknown male subjects wearing dark clothing

SUMMARY:
On Monday, May 7, 2018 at 9:08 p.m., a homeowner interrupted a burglary in progress inside her home in the 2600 block of North Holly Drive, in the community of San Antonio Heights. During the burglary, the suspects were startled by the homeowner and pushed her to the ground as they quickly fled the residence with stolen property. Deputy R. Farrow arrived within two minutes after the call was broadcast. A Sheriff’s helicopter, Sheriff's bloodhound tracking dog and additional deputies quickly arrived and conducted an area check for the suspects. The suspects, which were described as two male subjects wearing dark clothing, fled the area in an unknown make/model vehicle and were not located during the area check.

This was the second residential burglary interrupted by San Antonio Heights homeowners in less than one month. During the prior burglary, two suspects were quickly apprehended, arrested, and a substantial amount of stolen property was located.

To assist in deterring and preventing break-ins, homeowners are encouraged to report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods. In addition, it is also recommended for homeowners to keep your home and property well-lit by pointing bright motion detector lights at or near entrances and install security systems or surveillance cameras.
