RE: Alcohol Countermeasures Team Activity
As part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of the citizens of Jackson, the Jackson Police Department will be performing Sobriety Checkpoints and increased traffic enforcement throughout the city this weekend.
There will be a Sobriety Checkpoint on Sunday, 13 May 2018, from 0030 until 0200 on North Parkway Blvd at Wallace Road, and one Sunday, 13 May 2018, from 0215 until 0345 on South Highland Ave. at State Highway 18.
During these Sobriety Checkpoints and increased traffic enforcement, officers will concentrate their efforts on removing impaired drivers from the roadways. However, as non-compliance with safety belt and child restraint laws place people in danger, these laws will be vigorously enforced as well.
This project funded solely by the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
