Good Thursday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Wednesday, 5/19/18.

-100 blk Leon Rd, Smyer: Suspicious Activity. A deputy was dispatched to the area following a complaint of a suspicious person driving around a residence. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located and no offenses were reported. Information was collected related to the complaint.

-N. Alamo Rd at Florida Rd, Levelland: Fire. A deputy observed a number of vehicles traveling south on Alamo Rd from the area. After contacting occupants of one of the vehicles it was determined there had been a bonfire in the area. The fire was located and was still active. The fire department was dispatched and the fire was extinguished.

-1600 blk FM 3261, Levelland: Suspicious Activity. A deputy responded to the area after receiving a complaint of an individual possibly attempting to burglarize vehicles in the area. An individual was said to be checking vehicle doors. Deputies checked the surrounding neighborhood and no individuals were located.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.
