Valencia (Zone 5) Crime Information and Public Safety Report for April 30, 2018 - May 6, 2018

The following crimes were reported in Valencia (Zone 5) during the week of April 30, 2018 - May 6, 2018:

04/30/18, Monday 
Grand Theft Auto - 26000 block of Lugar De Oro Drive

An unknown suspect stole the victim’s 2015 black Nissan Versa.

05/01/18, Tuesday 
Assault w/ deadly weapon, kidnapping - Bouquet Cyn Rd./ Newhall Ranch Rd. 

The male suspect assaulted his wife and threatened her with a gun. The suspect then lead Sheriff’s deputies on a pursuit throughout the southland and into Kern County. The suspect was apprehended about 6 days later in a train car in Barstow. 

05/02/18, Wednesday 
Grand Theft -24000 block of Valencia Boulevard

A known male suspect walked into the location and stole several pieces of jewelry totaling over $1200 and exited the store after failing to pay for the items. 

05/03/18, Thursday 
Grand Theft: 24000 block of Valencia Boulevard

Proactive Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle after they observed several traffic violations. The deputies uncovered several thousands of dollars of merchandise inside the car that had just been stolen from a local business. All three female suspects were arrested for the thefts and are believed to be tired to numerous thefts from the area. 

05/04/18, Friday 
Grand Theft - 23900 block of Newhall Ranch Road

An unknown suspect made entry into a locked container and stole 21 propane tanks. 

05/05/18, Saturday 
Vehicle Burglary- 27500 block of Berkshire Hills Place

An unknown suspect made forced entry into the victim’s locked vehicle and stole his garage door opener. 

05/06/18, Sunday 
Burglary - 23900 block of Avenida Entrana

An unknown suspect forced entry into the victim’s home and ransacked several rooms. The suspect stole an Xbox One, PlayStation 4 game system and several other personal items. 

It can take seconds for a thief to steal something from your car, so never leave valuables inside. Don’t make your car a target for thieves by leaving  purses, wallets, laptop computers and cell phones in plain view. Always check you have closed all your windows and locked the doors.
