Cannelton Police seize over $4,400 in cash.

Stephanie J. Beier, 37 of Cannelton was arrested Tuesday night after a search of her residence. Cannelton Police, acting on information received, developed probable cause and obtained a search warrant from Perry County Circuit Court.

Members of the Cannelton Police Department, assisted by the Perry County Sheriff’s Department executed the warrant on the residence located in the 600 Block of South 7th Street. Items seized as a result of the search included Synthetic Drugs, Synthetic Drug Lookalike, Scales and other items indicating the dealing in said substances. The Cannelton Police Department also seized over $4,400 in cash. Beier’s seventeen-year-old, minor child was present on the home at the time the search was executed. It was also determined, during the booking process at the Perry County Detention Center, what Beier had additional Synthetic Drugs or Synthetic Drugs Lookalike, concealed on her person.

Beier was incarcerated on the following charges:
Maintaining Common Nuisance, Neglect of a Dependent, Dealing in Counterfeit Substances, Possession of Synthetic Drug or Synthetic Drug Lookalike, Taking a Minor to A Nuisance, and Trafficking with an Inmate. Bond was set at $6,605.

Chief Lee Hall stated he is pleased with the results of this particular investigation. This area of the city has been the recent focus of numerous complaints from residents regarding the amount of vehicle traffic and other suspicious activities. He is proud of his officers and the work they did in this investigation.
