Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male adult that was discovered on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at approximately 11:43 A.M.
Detective have learned that Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station received a call from a passerby indicating there was a male lying in a drainage ditch in the 1600 block of Las Virgenes Canyon Road, unincorporated area of Calabasas.
When deputies arrived, they located the male, adult victim unresponsive.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unknown if the incident is gang related.
The victim’s identity and exact cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner at a later date.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
