On Sunday, January 14, 2018, at approximately 12:53 A.M., Turlock Police Officers and members of the Turlock Fire Department responded to the Vista Apartments at 900 W. Monte Vista Avenue, Turlock, California, for a report of major flooding taking place. Due to the extent of the flooding and damage, Detectives from the Turlock Police Department responded in an attempt to determine the cause of the flooding.

Through their investigation, Detectives determined that several water valves were intentionally opened, allowing water from the fire suppression system to flood the building. Video was obtained showing several people of interest who were involved in this criminal act.

Through further investigation, Detectives were able to identify the two suspects responsible for the flooding resulting in approximately 1.6 million dollars in damage.

On April 26, 2018, a 17 year old male from Waterford, California, was interviewed and arrested.

On May 16, 2018, a 16 year old female from Manteca, California, was interviewed and arrested.
