Be on the lookout for credit card skimming device found at an ATM in Signal Hill. 
On May 5th, Signal Hill Police Officers were dispatched to a suspicious looking device at an ATM. Officers arrived and found a credit card skimming device attached to the outside bank ATM. The skimming device fit over the ATM’s card slot and was placed in a way to capture data. The Skimming device was confiscated before the suspect(s) could retrieve it and believe no information was compromised.
The Signal Hill Police Department advises the public when using an ATM or other credit card readers such those at gas stations or banks to inspect the machine and if in doubt, find another one. It is good practice to cover keys while entering personal identification numbers. We recommend to monitor your accounts for suspicious activity and to choose credit over debit when possible.
