NEDERLAND AVENUE PROJECT
25MPH SPEED LIMIT

Construction of the “Nederland Avenue Paving, Drainage, and Utility Improvements” project includes the re-surfacing of Nederland Avenue between Twin City Highway and Highway 69, drainage improvements along 12th Street from the DD7 ditch on South 12th Street to the alley between Chicago and Boston Avenues, and waterline replacement along Nederland Ave between 27th and 30th Streets and 12th Street from Nederland Ave to Boston Ave.

Effective immediately, the speed limit for the work zones has been lowered from 30 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and drive according to roadway conditions; this will help in safeguarding the activities of the traveling public and construction workers.
