SUSPECT: Richard Huber Jr. – 66 years old
VICTIM: Sarah Huber – 68 years old

On 5/15/18, at 1:29 p.m., Walnut Creek Police Department officers responded to a residence on the 1800 block of Holland Drive to conduct a welfare check. Officers entered the residence and located a deceased male and a deceased female who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. Both were residents of the home and determined to be husband and wife.
Based on the evidence at the scene and the subsequent investigation, WCPD Detectives and the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff Coroner's Division are ruling this case a homicide/suicide. At this point in the investigation, it appears the male suspect shot the victim and then shot himself.
