Nathaniel Ebert of Crestline arrested for burglary and residential robbery

SUSPECT: Nathaniel Ebert, 21 years old, Crestline resident
SUMMARY:
On May 8, 2018 at approximately 2:06 p.m., Sergeant Ryan Ford from the Twin Peaks Station responded to the 24500 Block of Alburn Drive in Crestline, regarding a theft report. The victim stated Nathaniel Ebert stole $5,000 worth of jewelry from her bedroom along with her cell phone. When the victim confronted Ebert, a struggle took place, then Ebert fled the residence on foot with the victim’s jewelry. Deputies conducted an area check for Ebert however, but he was not found.
On May 14, 2018, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Deputies Kelly Bush and Blake Stebbing were conducting foot patrol in the 23800 block of Pioneer Camp Road when they saw Ebert in front of a residence talking with a few other subjects. Ebert was contacted and taken into custody for several outstanding warrants and the theft of the jewelry from the victim’s bedroom.
Ebert was arrested for his warrants as well as violations of Penal Codes 212.5, Residential Robbery and 459, Residential Burglary. Ebert was transported and booked into the Central Detention Center and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
