Traffic investigators need assistance locating a driver who was involved in a hit and run injury collision.

Fremont, CA – On May 15, 2018, at approximately 5:07 a.m. a 25 year old male bicyclist was riding west bound in the bicycle lane of Stevenson Blvd over the I880 freeway between the north and south on-ramps.  While crossing the overpass in the bicycle lane,  the bicyclist was struck from behind by a vehicle traveling westbound on Stevenson Blvd. The vehicle struck the bicyclist as the car entered the designated lane for the I880 southbound on-ramp. The driver of the vehicle did not stop or check on the welfare of the bicyclist. 

The bicyclist was transported to a trauma center where he currently remains in serious condition.  

The suspect vehicle has been described as an dark colored Toyota Highlander model year 2003-2007. There is damage to the right front headlight and right front fog lamp of the vehicle.
