Have Your Bicycle Tuned-up at the San Gabriel Public Works Facility on May 26, between 9:30am and 12:30pm
San Gabriel, CA – During National Bike Month, cycling enthusiasts across the country celebrate the many benefits of cycling outdoors. On Saturday, May 26th, 2018 the San Gabriel Police Department is hosting a free bicycle tune-up event for residents of San Gabriel who haven’t pulled their bicycles out of the garage in a while. Anybody who rolls by the public works facility between 9:30am and 12:30pm that day can take advantage of free bicycle washes and tune-ups, including tuning derailleurs, pumping tires, and tightening brake cables. This is also a great opportunity to meet and take pictures with officers from the San Gabriel Police Department. Free safety equipment and light refreshments will be provided.
Nobody likes squeaky brakes during Bike Month. We encourage riders to ensure that their bicycles are ready and safe to ride. Velofix, proud sponsor of this event and the official mobile shop of the Bicycle Response Team, will be performing the free bicycle tune-ups. The San Gabriel Police Department and California Officer of Traffic Safety (OTS) call upon bicycle riders and motorists alike to be cautious during May’s National Bicycle Safety Month, and every other month of the year. We’ll see you at the tune-up.
