Sexual Abuse/Sodomy Arrest
(Etowah County, Alabama) An Altoona man was arrested and charged in connection to sexual abuse of a child, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Johnny Lee Rhodes, 32, of Altoona, is charged with one count of first degree sodomy and one count of sex abuse of a child less than 12 years old, both are felonies” investigator Brandi Fuller said.
Rhodes allegedly sexually abuse a 7 year-old female in December 2017. The report of abuse was made by a family member.
He is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $150,000 bond. As conditions of the bond, he is to have no contact with the victim and no unsupervised contact with any child under the age of 18 years old. Rhodes will also not be allowed to have any access to the internet upon release.
