(Etowah County, Alabama) An Attalla woman has been arrested in connection to theft of property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Amber Michelle Segers, 21, of Attalla, is charged with one count of third degree theft of property, which is a felony,” investigator Shane Hartley said.

Segers allegedly stole more than $1,300 from a register of the Dollar General Store located on Highway 278 West, across from the Mountain Top Flea Market. She told Investigator Hartley she used the money for various personal expenses.

Segers was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and released on $1,500 bond.
