On Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at approximately 4:20 AM Turlock Police Dispatch received several 9-1-1 calls from employees within the Home Depot store, located at 2800 Countryside Drive. Employees within the store reported a burglary in progress with the suspects attempting to force entry into the store. While on the phone with dispatchers, a caller indicated that gunshots had been fired and the incident was quickly upgraded to a robbery in progress. The first Turlock Police Officer arrived on scene within three minutes of the original call, however the suspects had already fled the area.

The investigation revealed that two males forced entry into the south doors. Both suspects were in the store for about one minute, when one suspect fired a handgun. He then fled out the northern doors, while the other suspect fled back out the southern door. Both suspects fled the area in an unknown type vehicle. There were no injuries reported and nothing was stolen. The suspects were both concealing their faces and were last seen wearing dark colored clothing. Both are believed to be in their twenties.
