This is Chief Jesse DeSanto of the Delanco Township Police Department. I am calling to give advance notice that the Fire Trucks in Delanco Township’s Memorial Day Parade on Sunday will be turning down Vine Street for safety reasons, while the rest of the parade continues towards Franklin Street. This is the safest route for the fire trucks because the other streets are narrow and congested with pedestrian and motor vehicle traffic. If you reside in the area of the 300, 200 & 100 blocks of Burlington Avenue and wish to see all the fire trucks, your best advantage point will be on Burlington Avenue immediately around Vine Street. Enjoy the parade and remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
