On May 26, 2018, at about 12:10 a.m., officers assigned to the Menifee Police Department were dispatched to Cleary Street and Michener Street to a report of a shooting. The victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and positive identification, was found unresponsive in the street. Officers performed life saving measures but the victim died from injuries sustained from the shooting. The suspect is still outstanding and all investigative leads are currently being followed up on. The investigation is on-going and no further information will be released at this time.
