...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in North Carolina... French Broad River At Blantyre affecting Henderson and Transylvania Counties. .Runoff from heavy rain will result in the river remaining above flood stage. Since the river level has reached moderate flood level, tone alerting may be appropriate especially with the new forecast going for 19.2 feet as the crest. The crest will likely hold for quite some time before trailing off to drop below flood stage early this weekend. The Flood Warning continues for The French Broad River At Blantyre.

* until Saturday afternoon.

* At 2:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 19.06 feet.

* Minor Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* Moderate flood stage is 19.0 feet.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.

* Forecast...the river will continue rising to crest near 19.2 feet by Thursday morning. This crest will likely hold for several hours. The river will fall below flood stage late Saturday morning.

* Impact...At 19.0 feet...Moderate Flood Stage. The French Broad River may be overtopping the railroad tracks and floodwaters may be threatening a trailer park on River Ridge Rd. Floodwaters may be approaching buildings north of Grove Bridge Road along US 64. Parts of River Road, Pleasant Grove Rd., Butler Bridge Rd. and Big Willow Rd. are likely flooding. Associated tributaries, including Little River, are likely flooding due to high water levels on the French Broad River. &&
