LOCATION: 35400 Oak Street, Lenwood

SUSPECT: Nelson, Leroy; 48 years of age, of Lenwood
Riggs, Anthony; 40 years of age, of Barstow
Orili, Shana; 47 years of age, of Corona


SUMMARY:

On May 24, 2018, at approximately 8:41 P.M., deputies from the Barstow Sheriff’s Station responded to a residence in the 35400 block of Oak Road in Lenwood to contact Leroy Nelson in regards to an outstanding warrant for a probation violation. Nelson was contacted on the property and detained.

Due to the terms of Nelson’s probation, a search of his residence was conducted. As a result, two off-highway vehicles were located in the garage and were determined to have been reported stolen from Newberry Springs in 2016 and the City of Hesperia in 2017. A third motorcycle with an altered Vehicle Identification Number was recovered and impounded for further investigation.

A firearm and several boxes of ammunition were also found in the garage. Nelson was subsequently arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition as well as possession of the stolen property.

Two additional subjects, Anthony Riggs and Shana Orili, were contacted at the residence and found to have outstanding warrants. All three subjects were transported and booked into the Barstow Jail.
