Mt. Island Lake Alert 
Duke Energy Hydro has alerted Gaston County that it looks like Mountain Island Lake will be spilling today by late afternoon. Duke is estimating 101.8 around 4 pm.
Folks downstream of Mt. Island Dam need to monitor conditions for increase flow of water and also a rise in water levels.
