Police warn area OG&E customers of scam. 
This afternoon, Cushing Police was advised of a scam involving OG&E customers. The caller claims to be a representative with OG&E and advises the customer that they are past due on their bill and are in the process of being disconnected. The caller then attempts to gather personal information, including banking information.
This is not the first time this type of scam has occurred. In 2016, OG&E warned customers of a similar scam. Anyone who receives this type of call, are advised not to provide personal or banking information and should terminate the phone call and contact OG&E Customer Service at 800-272-9741.
