EPD investigating shooting that left suspected home invasion robber dead 
Evansville Police were called to the 1700 block of Coker Ave at 11:45am on Saturday for a reported shooting. Officers arrived and found a man who had been shot. The man was later pronounced deceased.
Initial details have lead investigators to believe the dead man was attempting a home invasion robbery at the time he was shot.
The homeowner and his juvenile daughter were confronted by the armed suspect prior to the shooting. During the confrontation, the homeowner fired several times at the suspect.
There were no other reports of injuries.
