Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run today at 1230 pm
The Special Olympics Torch Run will be coming through the City of Redondo Beach on Monday, June 4, 2018. Traffic will be affected along the route. The runners will occupy the furthest right lane of the roadway during the run. The route will start at approximately 12:30 PM and will cover the following route:
Starting at Palos Verdes Blvd and Sepulveda
To W/B Sepulveda, which becomes Camino Real and heads north
To West on Torrance Blvd.
To North on N. Catalina Ave.
To West on Beryl St.
To North on N. Harbor Dr
Ending at Harbor & Herondo
Where the torch will be handed off to Hermosa Beach PD
The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Southern California is the largest public awareness vehicle and grassroots fundraiser with more than 3,500 officers in Southern California championing acceptance and inclusion. The Law Enforcement Torch Run is represented in all 50 U.S. states, Canadian provinces and 46 nations with 97,000 officers around the world, raising more than half a billion dollars since its inception in 1981.
