Teen charged with forcible rape 
Detective Paul Alkire of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged a 16-year-old male with forcible rape and forcible sex offense.
The teen is accused of having forcible sexual intercourse with a 17-year-old female acquaintance in early May during a gathering at the girl’s house.
The Sheriff’s Office received the case on a referral from the McDowell County Department of Social Services.
